My Story

Hi my name is Alex.
I am 18 years old and a first year student at the University of Waterloo. I was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta so the move out here was a big change, but I'm loving most of it so far.

First off, I am a runner. I have completed 1 marathon and 4 half marathons and hope to complete my 5th in February. On that note, when I started this blog I was recovering from a stress fracture in my left shin and was just coming back to running so therefore spending a lot of time at the gym. When I am back from running I will definitely have more running workouts and less elliptical/stairmaster (thank god for that!).

As a first year I am experiencing the wonderful joys of res life and the delicious food it brings. Due to a lack of any cooking equipment other than a microwave my recipes are quite limited and will be almost entirely snack as that is all I can make here. However, on the plus side, all my snacks don't require cooking and are therefore easy to make and usually only have a few ingredients.

Another passion of mine is fashion. I personally wear mostly comfy clothes (a lot of lulu's and leggings) but love dressing up and have been told I have a good sense of style. At home I was an avid sewer and designer, but that couldn't quite come across the country with me so I have been forced to take a break from that.

I am 5'5" and 137 lbs and have a muscular body. While I am at a healthy weight and size I am embarking on a quest for my old six pack and I hope that this blog helps me keep that motivation.

I hope that you enjoy my blog. It is meant to be fun, interesting and maybe a little inspirational. It is going to be my means of expression and motivation throughout the journey of my random and busy life.
